CDP DISCLOSURE INSIGHT ACTION A LIST 2023 CLIMATE

CDP is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to encourage corporations and municipalities to disclose information and take action on environmental issues such as climate change, water resource protection, and forest conservation at the request of institutional investors and major purchasing organizations worldwide that are highly concerned about environmental issues. In 2023, more than 24,000 organizations worldwide disclosed environmental information through CDP, which include more than 23,000 companies representing two-thirds of the world's market capitalization and more than 1,100 municipalities. CDP's environmental disclosure and assessment process is widely recognized as the gold standard in corporate environmental reporting.

In September 2021, NTT Group announced its environmental energy vision, "NTT Green Innovation toward 2040"1, and has been promoting initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. In addition, in the NTT Group's New Medium-Term Management Strategy "New Value Creation & Sustainability 2027 Powered by IOWN"2 announced in May 2023, the Group declared its intention to expand the initiatives of "NTT Green Innovation toward 2040" to Scope 3.

Besides promoting renewable energy usage as part of its own efforts to promote green power, the NTT is also working to enhance its environmental energy initiatives and information disclosure by promoting IOWN research and development aimed at achieving extremely low power consumption, introducing an internal carbon pricing system, and utilizing green bonds.
