On Friday, April 6, 2012, at the NTT Musashino R&D Center, approximately 100 new employees of NTT's laboratories took a series of lectures on the NTT Group's efforts relating to CSR, human rights, and environmental issues as part of their initial training.
The environmental lecture focused on the NTT Group's environmental protection framework, and our efforts to date to help prevent global warming and reduce waste, as well as the Green Vision 2020, which the company unveiled last year. The newcomers listened intently to the stimulating talk.

The lectures ended with a message to our new colleagues that each of them must bring an awareness of the importance of energy conservation to their research activities so that we may achieve stronger networks and services that use less electricity. That, we believe, is how we can make a genuine contribution to the reduction of our environmental impact. We hope that the new recruits of 2012 will become the environmental drivers of our business five and ten years from now.
We will continue to hold environmentally themed lectures and study workshops as part of our effort to further raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
