I was involved in swimming in elementary school and started track and field when I entered junior high school. I competed in track long distance events in Beijing 2008 and London 2012, and in marathon events since the Rio 2016 Paralympics, winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2022.

Tadashi HORIKOSHI Places Third to Win Bronze at the London Marathon.
At the 2019 World Para Athletics Marathon Championships (London Marathon) held in London, UK, on April 28, 2019, Japanese representative Tadashi HORIKOSHI of the NTT West Track and Field Team placed third to win the Bronze Medal with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes 56 seconds.
This was the first event for selection of recommended athletes to represent Japan at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, and Mr. HORIKOSHI cleared the criteria for recommendation, informally securing a place on the Japanese Paralympic team.
