The Miami Open Final, Just before the Day of the Shoot

On the day before shooting of the TV commercials, Kei Nishikori appeared and played at the final of the Miami Open Tennis Championship. He finished in second place, defeated narrowly by Novak Djokovic. The successive games that continued for about two weeks prior must have made him extremely exhausted. But once shooting sessions started, after doing some stretches, he actively participated in the shoots, such as a scene where he ran with high animation. Shooting was conducted smoothly and each scene only took a couple of takes.

A Japanese-style lunch helped Kei Nishikori, who stays busy competing all over the world, keep in mind the distinctive culinary flavors of his Japanese homeland. The menu included onigiri rice balls with plum paste, okaka bonito flakes and konbu seaweed, along with iburigakko pickled radish and marinated asazuke white radish. Covering the onigiri rice balls with toasted seaweed sheets, Nishikori relished and enjoyed every bite. One taste of the miso soup brought back warm feelings of Japan.

In "Make the Future" there is a scene where Nishikori makes a strong smash hit, which the cameraman will never forget. The shot was aimed head-on into the camera positioned behind the net, requiring the cameraman to quickly duck his head, a scary experience due to the speed and power of the smash.
