Tokyo. - December 8, 2020 - NTT Corporation (TYO:9432), today announced that NTT has been recognized for leadership in corporate sustainability by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its prestigious 'A List' for tackling climate change.
CDP is a global non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Over 9,600 companies with over 50% of global market capitalization disclosed environmental data through CDP in 2020. NTT was recognized for its actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and develop the low-carbon economy, based on the data reported by the company through CDP's 2020 climate change questionnaire.
NTT group announced its environment and energy vision in May 2020 and is implementing actions such as switching to renewable energy proactively to achive "Zero Environmental Impact". Additionally, we acquired the Science Based Targets (SBT) certification1 in October 2020. We will continue our efforts to make further contributions to reducing the environmental impact of our customers, companies and society.
