FTSE4Good Index Series/FTSE Blossom Japan Index/FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

The Company has been selected as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index, a global ESG index developed by FTSE Russell in the United Kingdom, as well as their FTSE Blossom Japan Index composed of Japanese companies that excel in ESG response and their FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index composed of Japanese companies with high ESG evaluation relative to their industry.

MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index / MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index

The MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index is constructed by selecting companies with superior ESG evaluation from among the constituents of the MSCI Japan IMI Index, targeting 50% of the constituents in each GICS® industry classification. The Company has been selected as a constituent of the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index, which selects companies that lead their industry in the participation and promotion of women as well as the promotion of employee gender diversity.

Since 2014, the Company has been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index, an Asia-Pacific ESG index co-developed by major US financial index developer S&P Dow Jones Indices and the Swiss firm RobecoSAM.

This survey carried out by Nikkei comprehensively evaluates company decarbonization efforts. The Company received a top-tier S rating from this survey.

The Company was evaluated by the CDP, an international environmental non-governmental organization, on its strategy and response to climate change and received a top-tier rating of A (2 years consecutively, 3 times total). We have also been selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest Supplier Engagement Rating given for efforts to reduce CO2 emissions across the entire supply chain (4 years consecutively, 4 times total).

This is one of the programs designed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and for which the Nippon Kenko Kaigi recognizes certified enterprises. We have been certified since the program's establishment in 2017. Additionally, we have been selected for "White 500", an award given to the top 500 enterprises in the large enterprise category.

Eruboshi is a certification system based on the Act on Promotion of Female Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, and is issued to companies that meet certain criteria and have an excellent status regarding the promotion of women's active engagement in professional life. The company has obtained Eruboshi (Rank 3) certification, which means that it meets all five criteria.

Platinum Kurumin Plus

Issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, Platinum Kurumin is issued to companies that have formulated an action plan for business owners, have achieved the goals set forth in the plan, and meet certain criteria. Platinum Kurumin Plus is issued to select companies recognized for their proactive efforts toward childcare assistance and creating a balance between infertility treatment and work at an even higher standard.

Each year since 2016, we have received the PRIDE Index Gold status, which recognizes outstanding companies in the PRIDE Index, an index developed by the private organization "work with Pride" to evaluate LGBTQ-related efforts in the workplace.

This event is organized by the Japan Women's Innovative Network (NPO J-Win) and has been held every year since 2008 to accelerate D&I promotion by Japanese companies. In 2025, NTT won a Second Prize in the Company Prize Advanced Category.

Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2025

Based on its proprietary patent-related data, Clarivate chooses companies to evaluate based on how many patents they have registered and then scores them based on four indicators: influence, geographical investment, success rate (the percentage of applications submitted to the patent office that are approved), and rarity. In 2025, NTT was recognized as one of Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators for being one of the world's top 100 companies and organizations on the front line of technical research and innovation.

Science Based Target(SBT)

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is managed by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and the World Wildlife Fund. It recognizes companies that indicate that they will establish greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in accordance with Paris Agreement standards. The Company has been recognized by the SBTi in 2021 for its scope 1 and 2 targets meeting the standard of 1.5°C and in 2025 for its scope 1, 2, and 3 targets meeting the standard of net-zero.

The GX League is a place where companies working to create sustainable growth for our current and future society by taking on GX challenges to realize the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's goal of carbon neutrality by 2050 and create social change can cooperate with other such companies, along with government and academia.
