NTT Group's net zero target has received certification from Science Based Targets initiative

Tokyo – February 28, 2025 – NTT Corporation (NTT), today announced that NTT has been certified by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi1) that the NTT Group's net zero targets meet the Net-Zero criteria set by SBTi..

This certification covers the net zero target for FY2040, as declared in the NTT Group's medium-term management strategy "New value creation & Sustainability 2027 powered by IOWN"2 announced in May 2023, and the mid-term target for FY2030, which was announced in May 2024, for a 40% reduction from the FY2018 level.

Besides promoting renewable energy usage as part of its own efforts to promote green power, the NTT is also working to enhance its environmental energy initiatives and information disclosure by promoting IOWN research and development aimed at achieving extremely low power consumption, introducing an internal carbon pricing system, and utilizing green bonds.
