NTT Group received an award for the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovator 2018-19 program
In January 2019, NTT,NTT DOCOMO,and other companies of the NTT Group received an award for the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovator 2018-19 program, selected by Clarivate Analytics (based in Philadelphia, US). This is the eighth consecutive year that NTT Group has received this award, since the former Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators.
Clarivate Analytics presents this award to 100 companies selected worldwide as "innovative companies and institutions vigorously engaged in protecting intellectual properties and bringing innovation that has a global influence ," by evaluating, from independent viewpoints, four principal criteria: 1. Volume (of patents); 2. Success (grant rate of patent application); 3. Globalization, and 4. Influence.
NTT understands this award certifies that R&D activities of NTT Group are pioneering and valuable in a global market.
NTT continues to make every effort to obtain patents based on the outputs of R&D activities as well as to make the most use of its intellectual properties.
