NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATION (Head office, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Jun Sawada, President & CEO; hereinafter referred to as "NTT") has concluded a Presenting Partnership Agreement for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. A Presenting Partner is the highest status in the sponsorship program for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay.
The NTT Group member companies covered by the agreement are as follows.
As an enterprise that has supported ties between people, NTT endorses the concept of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay, "Hope Lights Our Way." We are determined to contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay by helping to pass on the rays of hope brought by the torch and bringing that hope to many people throughout Japan.
We are pleased to welcome NTT as a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay Presenting Partner. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay will run for 121 days across Japan, aiming to inspire local communities along the way. With the support of NTT, which connects people via its network and communication services throughout Japan, Tokyo 2020 aims to deliver a safe and secure Torch Relay and bring hope via the Olympic Flame to communities across the country.
NTT has been taking action to help ensure the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 as a Gold Partner in the category of Telecommunications Services, and has now concluded an agreement to be a Presenting Partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay. In this new role as well, we intend to make it the most innovative Relay in history through extensive use of the latest telecommunications services. In addition, as a Value Partner with roots in all communities, we are going to create opportunities for participation by many people to heighten the excitement surrounding the Tokyo2020 Olympic Torch Relay in all of Japan's 47 prefectural bodies, and strive to assure its success in many other ways.
