NTTグループは新中期経営戦略にサステナビリティを組み込み、私たち西日本グループにおいても“地球のサステナビリティ”を支えるため、企業としての使命に加え、新たなサービスを生み出す挑戦を続けています。昨年度のカンファレンスでは、西日本グループの森林・林業DXがプレゼンMVPを受賞頂き、これを機に、当該案件の拡大に繋がり、他の施策にも良い刺激を与えているように感じています。

今回、西日本グループからは3件がノミネートされました。AIを活用しインフラ点検プラットフォームを構築することで労働力不足・点検コスト増等の課題解決に貢献する案件、地域ポイント事業を軸に市民総参加による持続可能なまちづくりの実現をめざす案件、障がい者雇用及びDXをかけあわせ共生社会を実現する案件と、それぞれ日本社会が抱える課題をICTの力で解決を図ろうとする意欲的な取組みです。

本カンファレンスは、エントリー数が年々増加しており、11年目を迎える今回は、特に海外のグループ各社からの応募が多数あることから、サステナビリティな取組みが世界中に広がっていることが伺え、大変喜ばしいことです。今回のカンファレンスが、次の10年に向けた新たな一歩を踏み出す記念すべき共鳴の場となることを期待しています。

NTT Group has incorporated sustainability into its new medium-term management strategy, and we at the NTT WEST Group continue to take on the challenge of creating new services in addition to our mission as a company to support the "sustainability of the Earth". At last year's conference, NTT WEST Group's Forest and Forestry DX received the MVP Award for its presentation, which led to the expansion of the project and provided a good stimulus for other initiatives.

Three projects from the NTT WEST Group were nominated this year. Thay are : a practice that contributes to solving issues such as labor shortages and increased inspection costs by building an infrastructure inspection platform using AI, a practice that aims to realize sustainable urban development with the participation of all citizens based on a regional point program, and a practice that aims to realize a symbiotic society by combining employment for people with disabilities and DX These are all ambitious practices that seek to solve issues facing Japanese society through the power of ICT.

The number of applications for this year's conference has been increasing every year, and we are especially pleased that this year, the 11th year of the conference, we have received many applications from overseas group companies, which indicates that sustainability practices are spreading around the world. We hope that this conference will be a memorable and resonant occasion to take a new step forward into the next decade.

NTT Communications Group is currently focusing on creating social value unique to docomo business by expanding the circle of business co-creation and opening up "possibilities for people and the world" while further leveraging the new advantages and strengths of docomo business and expanding its customer base.

In this context, we will introduce the "Green Nexcenter™," an advanced data center that is ultra power-saving, zero-carbon, and capable of high heat generation, "CO2MOS" which is essential for the promotion of AI and the use of GPUs,,which will open up a wide range of possibilities for the calculation, visualization, and analysis of GHG emissions, including Scope 3, which is essential for the promotion of a net-zero society, and "Smart Trash Can Installation" in Dotonbori, Osaka which boldly took on a serious local issue and co-created it well.

As "Your Value Partner," we will continue to challenge the "unlimited potential of ICT/DX," focus on enhancing CX and EX, which form the basis of ICT/DX, and promote DX, GX, and SX in society and industry, the goal of creating a sustainable and well-being future.

NTTアーバンソリューションズグループは、地域・社会が抱えるさまざまな課題と真摯に向き合い、街づくりを通じて、NTTグループが有するICT、エネルギー、環境技術などを最大限活用し、その課題解決に取り組んでいます。

たとえば、NTTグループCRE事業として今年3月にNTT仙台中央ビルを再開発し、高機能オフィスと研究開発施設、地元企業を結ぶことで、仙台市が掲げる「仙台都心再構築プロジェクト」に沿った街の産業振興、新たな魅力の発信や賑わいの創出、ひいては東北全体の活性化に貢献しています。

また、今回エントリーしている長崎市におけるプロジェクトでは、地域経済の活性化と脱炭素の両立という課題に対し、NTTグループ各社や地域の産学と連携し、地域の脱炭素と観光振興の同時実現に挑戦しています。

今後もこのような活動を通じて、地域社会の経済発展や環境負荷の低減等の社会的課題解決に取り組むなど、NTTグループならではの新たな「街づくり」を推進し、サステナブルな社会の実現に貢献していきます。

NTT Urban Solutions, Inc. Group takes seriously the various issues facing local communities and society and works to solve them through urban development, making maximum use of NTT Group's ICT, energy, environmental, and other technologies.

For example, as part of the NTT Group CRE project, NTT redeveloped the NTT Sendai Chuo Building in March of this year, linking high-function offices, R&D facilities, and local companies, thereby contributing to the industrial development of the city, creating new attractions and vibrancy, and the revitalizing the entire Tohoku region in line with the Sendai City's "Sendai Urban Center Reconstruction Project.

In addition, the project in Nagasaki City, which we are entering this time, is taking on the challenge of simultaneously realizing regional decarbonization and tourism promotion in collaboration with NTT Group companies and local industry and academia to address the issue of balancing local economic revitalization and decarbonization.

Through such activities, NTT Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by promoting new "urban development" unique to NTT Group, including efforts to solve social issues such as economic development of local communities and reduction of environmental burdens.
