Child and nursing care initiatives

We are developing a wide range of systems to support both male and female employees in child and nursing care.

Support for balancing work with child and nursing care

Benefits

NTT makes regular revisions to the selection of benefits it offers, to create an environment that is more comfortable to work in than ever before.

In fiscal 2018, we introduced the NTT Benefit Package to enhance many options related to child and nursing care support.

For example, we implemented childcare concierges that provide assistance for employees as they look for a nursery, based on their areas of residence. We also made significant enhancements to childcare grants and many other services.

We also implemented nursing care concierges that offer consultation on nursing care in many areas, as well as care-manager matching, to offer support in all aspects of nursing care.

Company-sponsored nurseries and day nurseries within offices

NTT has opened company-sponsored nurseries and day nurseries within offices so that employees can return to work when they want to.

Training and interviews

NTT holds seminars about supporting people returning to work after childcare. These seminars are offered to employees who take maternity leave and childcare leave, as well as the spouses or superiors of such people. NTT also organizes meetings with employees before childbirth and after childcare leave.

Sending out information

NTT has opened a child and nursing care support website for employees, and distributes a wide range of information, such as details on different kinds of systems and how to use them, as well as the real-world experiences of employees who take care of children and elderly relatives as they work.

In view of the coming age of nursing care, Group companies hold nursing care study sessions in order to help foster a work environment where employees can engage in work and nursing care at the same time. In response to strong interest from employees and a high attendance rate, we will continue to hold these sessions.

Many systems that go above and beyond legal regulations

NTT has set up systems to help employees engage in child and nursing care while continuing to work. Many of these systems go above and beyond legal regulations as well as the standards established by other companies.
