NTT's proactive efforts have been recognized, and we have been awarded the certificates shown below.
NTT EAST, NTT WEST, NTT Communications, NTT DATA, and other Group companies have received the highest rating (Rank 3) in the "Eruboshi" certification mark program for recognizing excellent companies under the Act to Promote the Active Participation of Women in the Workplace, from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
The holding company has received the highest rating of gold for five consecutive years in PRIDE Index, an index of model companies. The PRIDE Index was established by work with Pride as the first index in Japan to evaluate efforts to support the LGBT community and other sexual minorities at the workplace. Many NTT companies have been included in this index.
Since 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has recognized companies and organizations that introduce and utilize telework with the designation Telework Pioneers. NTT has been recognized among the Top Hundred Telework Pioneers, a selection of these pioneers that have been publicized as companies with significant track records in telework.
Since fiscal 2012, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange have jointly selected listed companies that excel at promoting women's participation and advancement in the workplace. NTT DATA CORPORATION was selected as a "Nadeshiko Brand" in 2019.
NTT has received Kurumin certification (3 stars). Based on the Law for Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation, this certification from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare recognizes companies that have formulated a Plan of Action for General Employers, have achieved targets set in the plan, and satisfy certain standards. Many NTT companies have been certified under this system.
The holding company was selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a good example company with a "barrier-free mindset" for its particularly excellent initiatives among companies that make efforts to develop this mindset.
In the 2020 ACE Awards held by the Accessibility Consortium of Enterprises, we received a special prize in the Environmental Building Category for our initiatives in achieving opportunities for employing people with disabilities by using OriHime-D, a remotely-operated avatar robot.
