Sustainable Urban Development Utilizing CRE in Miyazaki City

In most of regional cities, visitor decline in city center has become serious issue. To ensure regional cities maintain safe, secure, comfortable living environments and vitality for the future, sustainable regional economic development and attractive community development are essential.
We collaborate with administration offices in Miyazaki city. Unused CRE (Corporate Real Estate) assets were utilized to promote sustainable town development aligned with the city's vision and citizen needs. We developed the deck space utilizing the “Hokomichi System” promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, along with shared terraces and event plazas. Then we can create areas for lingering. We designed small shop-specification suited to the market. And we attracted local tenants, and hosted events. These factors are contributing to the creation of sustained vibrancy.
Furthermore, reducing environmental impacts were made through the utilization of existing buildings, the selection of reusable construction methods, and the promotion of the use of small, low-speed electric buses (commonly known as "Guruppy").
