Relief programs for the 2024 Noto Earthquake

NTT WEST Hokuriku Branch

A major earthquake struck the Noto region of Ishikawa on Jan 1, 2024. Telecommunication facilities were damaged, utility poles collapsed, and communication services were suspended. In addition, neighborhoods faced extensive damage, including large-scale power and water outages. As NTT Group, we worked to restore communication services, to fulfill our mission of connecting people. We also developed several tech-based initiatives to help Noto recover and ensure that its residents felt safe in their homes.
