This CSR initiative, supported by NTT DATA, aims to strengthen flood resilience in Kanpur by leveraging advanced geospatial technologies. Executed by FIRST, IIT Kanpur in collaboration with Terraqua UAV Solutions, the project investigates both natural and anthropogenic factors contributing to floodingーsuch as rainfall patterns, land use changes, and infrastructure design. By integrating drone and satellite data, it enables real-time monitoring and early warning systems. The initiative enhances flood mapping, risk assessment, and disaster response capabilities, embedding GIS tools into local governance for sustainable and informed flood management.
