Co-creation of a Regional Circular Society Using Portable Batteries

Aiming to simultaneously address decarbonization and regional challenges, we will support the establishment of a consortium involving industry, government, and academia as the lead company. We will formulate a future vision centered on portable batteries and undertake demonstration projects. Specifically, portable batteries installed in battery-swap EV conversion vehicles (CEVs) will be shared within the region to distribute surplus renewable energy. In the event of a natural disaster, they will supply power to evacuation centers and other facilities, enhancing energy resilience. Furthermore, CEVs will be produced by upcycling gasoline vehicles at local factories, enabling the effective use of existing resources and creating jobs.
