Efficient corn plantation management requires continuous monitoring of plants in order to minimize losses and optimize production. To address Jerónimo Martins' challenge in extracting statistical data in the context of precision agriculture, this pilot project aimed to collect images of corn crops using drones. The goal was to develop an automated solution based on computer vision to generate reports with indicators on corn crops, such as the total number of plants identified and average distances between corn stalks, with the associated standard deviation.
